What is Javis OS?
Javis OS is self-hosted, open-source AI assistant software under the MIT license. It gathers an organization's knowledge into a brain you can query, connects real data from the systems you already use, and runs assistants for each department. MienTay Media provides consulting, deployment, training and operations.
Where is our data stored?
The brain is stored as markdown files on the organization's own server. When a cloud AI model is used, the content needed to answer is sent to the model provider; for sensitive data a locally run model can be used. State secret data must never be put into internet-connected systems.
How do deployments differ between businesses and state agencies?
Businesses usually deploy in full and expand by department. State agencies start with a survey, classify data into 3 levels, pilot one area of procedures, and only then expand; AI only assists, and the competent officer decides.
How long does deployment take and what does it cost?
Time and cost depend on scale, number of departments and number of systems to connect. The software carries no license fee; costs include the server, AI models and deployment services. We give a specific roadmap and quote after the survey session.
